‘A sun that rises’ starts to look good! I am working on a half clam-shell box with a window cut-out in the lid to complete the work. Very exciting!

Not yet finished – still sewing away! Hopefully I will be able to deliver three copies to Beau Beausoleil by this week Friday, January 25th, 2013. The deadline was Tuesday, January 15th …

CODEX 2013

For the first time this year I am exhibiting at the Codex Fair.

It’s exciting. I honestly don’t know what to expect. I volunteered the last two times. Volunteering is by far different than being part of this great show. It will be a great experience and I am looking forward to it.

I am sharing a table with Bryan Kring. Mitsuko Baum will be helping both of us during the exhibition.

Thread loves Paper

I am featured in a new book by Emily Marks: Thread loves Paper

Twenty-five contemporary book artists who explore possibilities with thread in their work.

Created and published by Emily Marks, a Bay Area artist and writer, Thread Loves Paper shows these artists’ works in full-color photographs

Saturday, January 19, 4PM, at Mrs. Dalloway’s Bookstore, Emily Marks will explain how she got the idea, contacted the artists and self-published this informative book.

A new tunnel book!

Four-panel tunnel-book, 5″ x 7.25″, approximately 4″ deep when opened

Pictures are rubber-stamped by hand on Mohawk superfine eggshell paper, using stamp pads with archival ink. Panels are then cut out by hand. The back panel is stamped on tracing paper to allow additional light into the book. Because of its random elements, every copy is unique in an open edition.
